About

Kara is a born and raised Iowa girl.  She toured the state performing while still in high school and along the way worked with friends who convinced her to attend Millikin University in Decatur, IL. Graduating with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a Minor in Dance she moved out to New York and lived in her kitchen for a year.  

Since then she has seen the world performing on two national tours, two cruise ships, and at several regional theatres.  She also just appeared in the World Premier of David Henry Hwang and Jeanine Tesori’s a play with a musical, “Soft Power.”

When not performing she is real estate agent at TruLine Realty, a choreographer, a die hard NY Rangers fan, and obsessed with her two nephews.  

Kara just made the move from NYC to the west coast and now lives in South Central, LA with her husband Jeff, a baby boy on the way, and dog Chompers.
